Film: Hebridean Treasure, Lost & Found

A film version of a musical dance performance featuring talented young Scottish artists and author John Philip Newell, telling the story of Celtic spirituality and its love of nature as seen from the Hebrides. It also tells the story of the Highland Clearances, when tens of thousands of Scots were forcibly removed from their homelands; an injustice that has been repeatedly committed against indigenous peoples around the world, with the loss of the wisdom that is so urgently needed to be reclaimed today to heal humanity’s relationship with nature.

John Philip Newell, a Scottish author, screenwriter, poet and storyteller, will introduce the film with a short presentation. The introduction and the film are in English and will be shown on Friday, May 30 from 7:00pm - 8:45pm. More information about the film screening can be found here.
