Sacred Earth Sacred Soul: Celtic Wisdom for Reawakening to What Our Souls Know and Healing the World

The two-day retreat will be based on the major themes of John Philip Newell’s award winning book, Sacred Earth Sacred Soul. Teaching will be offered by John Philip Newell and spiritual practice will be led by Cami Twilling, Director of Earth & Soul.

Friday, February 16, 2024, 7-9 pm. (Doors open at 6:30 pm)

Address/Q&A by John Philip Newell followed by a reception, book sales, and book signing.

Saturday, February 17, 2024, 9 am to 12:00 pm. (Doors open at 8:30 am for coffee and morning refreshments)

Event Charge: $30

Saturday morning will begin with centering meditation followed by a teaching from John Philip and spiritual practice led by Cami Twilling. We will reflect in small groups and listen within ourselves and to one another as we find our way forward through study and spiritual practice and how these invite us into compassionate action.

Special Screening: Hebridean Treasure: Lost and Found

John Philip Newell will introduce this impressive film that presents some of Scotland’s most talented young artists in song, dance, and narrative exploring the Celtic spiritual tradition of the Scottish Hebrides. The film also tells of the tragic decimation of land and people in the 19th century known as the Highland Clearances.
