Dear Friends of Earth & Soul, 

John Philip Newell’s new book The Great Search: Turning to Earth and Soul in the Quest for Healing and Home will be available on August 20 in the US and mid-August in the UK! This is truly a book for this moment in time. You can pre-order your copy here. We hope you will celebrate with us on October 24 at the book launch either in person or via livestream. The celebration will include wine, music, and song as well as readings from the book by John Philip and the opportunity to have your own copy signed. Please join us for this exciting moment of celebrating a profound vision for the way forward today in our relationship with Earth, with one another and our own true depths. 

Please join us for our October Earth & Soul events. All registrations are open and we would be delighted to have you with us. Two retreats in the Celtic Wisdom series are being offered. Celtic Wisdom 1 at Bon Secours in Baltimore, MD and Celtic Wisdom 3 at Montreat Conference Center in Montreat, NC. The first in our new series of retreats, The Great Search 1 will be held at Roslyn Retreat Center in Richmond, VA. In addition, a full day retreat will be held in Brevard, NC on the themes of The Great Search, and an evening talk in Black Mountain, NC on the themes of Celtic Wisdom. All details and registration links can be found on our Events Page. In addition, 2025 events are being added for you to save the dates.

We invite you to share in a spiritual practice together each morning in August. Imagine joining together with thousands from the Earth & Soul community around the world to pray together as you are reminded to look for Light in all life. Place your hand on your heart as you pray the prayer below. Follow with a few minutes of silence bringing your awareness to what is stirring within you. Let us hold one another, those around the world and Earth in our hearts as we pay attention to how we are being called to compassionate action.

At the beginning of the day
we seek your countenance among us, O God,
in the countless forms of creation all around us
in the sun's rising glory
in the face of friend and stranger.
Your Presence within every presence
your Light within all light
your Heart at the heart of this moment.
